Disgraced pro soccer quarterback Paul Crewe (Adam Sander) lands in jail, wherein manipulative Warden Hazen (James Cromwell) recruits him to propose the organisation's team.

This will become a lead position quarterbacking a group of inmates in a game in opposition to a team of prison guards. Aided through incarcerated ex-NFL coach Nate Scarborough (Burt Reynolds), Crewe and his group have to triumph over now not only the bloodthirstiness of the competition, but also the corrupt officials trying to repair the sport in opposition to them.
